The Mindset of a Winner: Fight for your Life. Maximilian Alexander Agostini PRSC Enterprises Ltd.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Everyday there is a fight around the corner, just waiting for you to get it on. This very morning, with all of those war-case-scenarios in my mind, I keep telling myself to better learn how to fight.

Beating depression and anxiety is one of those we will have to beat, not to mention naysayers that keep telling us that we are not good enough. In this article, I am not thinking about fighting people, rather situations / circumstances in life. Especially when it comes to opportunities, that we may simply not take, this is that sometimes worth fighting for.

Career moves, business deals, friends and family we love fighting for, this is related to “going to war”, and to simply fight what is yours.

Dreams are not just sitting here in our mind and wait for us to come and get it, we have to take opportunities, to chase those, like a possessed man, and for us to win, we have to have stamina, bounce back, counter punch, to jab and jack back, this is one of the key points here.

Running away from fights, in the world of series of fights, is the worst thing you can do. If you do decide to run away, you are just running away from your life, which does not make any sense.

Hannibal: Across the Alps on War Elephants, Second Punic War:

• Hannibal’s crossing of the Alps in 218 BC was one of the major events of the Second Punic War,
• one of the highest top-tier-performance achievements of any military force in history.
• Hannibal managed to lead his Carthaginian army over the Alps and into Italy to take the war directly to the Roman Republic, bypassing Roman and allied land garrisons and Roman naval dominance.
• Truth to be told, General Hasdrubal the Fair, was assassinated by a Celtic slave, 26 year old Hannibal was elected as the new Carthaginian commander. Interestingly, the young general immediately made plans to invade Rome, but there have been far too many naysayers to actually support his campaign, before strengthening Carthage’s control over the Iberian peninsula.
• With the invasion of Rome in his mind, in 221 / 220 BC, he surprisingly managed two highly successful campaigns, extending Carthaginian influence beyond the Tagus river.
• On the return of Hannibal army, he was taken by surprise and the path across the Tagus River has been blocked by Iberian tribes. Rather than attacking them immediately, Hannibal demonstrated his military genius for the very first time. He erected his own fortified camp and waited for the right moment to divert his route instead, and by night, they went south east instead. However, a small group of soldiers stayed in, keeping all campfires burning, creating the illusion that the whole Carthaginian army was sill encamped. By sunrise next day Hannibal’s army was behind the Iberian position, feigning retreat towards New Carthage instead. Those who managed to cross the river, were trampled by war elephants.
• As soon as Hannibal had his first major victory, on the Tagus River, and Rome had noticed that this may be a threat of their city, and the entire surrounding empire. Rome declared their protectorate and as a sworn enemy of Rome, it didn’t take long before Hannibal acted. Starting with a long march to Saguntum, he besieged the City.

In a nutshell:

1. Hannibal demonstrated what can be done
2. He laid the groundwork and strategy how to attack his enemies
3. and to win wars successfully, by laying the ground-work for successful invasions of cities, empires, naysayers have been converted into followers instead.
4. Rather than fighting his way towards Rome, he did everything to avoid conflict with the Gallic tribes, mostly paying them for free passage through their territory instead, promising that his only interested is to fight Rome.
5. Gaining friends from other tribes, other commanders, was an act as a staging point for operations into Roman territory.

IMPOSSIBLE IS POSSIBLE! Say it to yourself every single day. Impossible is possible:

• ever hold on to doubt, fear and despair, thinking that you are at the end of your rope?
• If you believe in yourself, anything is possible.
• Everyone of us earthlings, have something to give, this is the mindset that you want to have.
• Your job is extremely simple: all you got to do is to believe, it can happen to others and also to you.
